Linda Hamilton is officially done playing Sarah Connor in future Terminator movies, the actress shared in an interview with Business Insider, while also being critical of a potential Terminator reboot.

“I truly feel like, and felt like, Sarah Connor is not an icon. She’s a woman in hell. She makes some really bad choices. She’s not a good mother, she’s a good fighter!” said Hamilton on her character, expressing her struggle with fan reception towards the character.
The actress last starred as Sarah Connor in 2022’s Terminator: Dark Fate, which had an unimpressive box office run. In Dark Fate, she plays a grieving and bitter Sarah Connor who hunts down Terminators to avenge her son, resistance leader John Connor, who is killed in this timeline.
Series creator James Cameron has teased a reboot of the franchise on multiple occasions, but Hamilton is adamant about her choice to leave the past behind.
“I’m done. I’m done. I have nothing more to say. The story’s been told, and it’s been done to death,” she said about a potential reboot, “Why anybody would relaunch it is a mystery to me. But I know our Hollywood world is built on relaunches right now.”
