LEGO has hit its 90th year! After years of fuelling creativity and inciting playtime for kids and adults alike, the toy company is celebrating with more playsets and activities starting with the 11021 LEGO Classic 90 Years of Play set.
The iconic set is a 1,100-piece playset that lets fans build a variety of pieces from the 1932 Duck, 2020 Pineapple Pencil Holder, 1998 Secret of the Sphinx, 2013 Ninjago Golden Dragon and more. Folks can also let their imagination run free and build whatever they like too!
In addition, LEGO has curated a list of sets to inspire parents to spend quality family time with their children. Little builders who love action and adventure can have a go at building the 41720 LEGO Friends Water Park and 60320 LEGO City Fire Station. Younger ones can enjoy the 10974 LEGO Duplo Wild Animals of Asia or even the 71775 Ninjago Nya’s Samurai X MECH set. Kids who prefer arts over action can express themselves however they like with the 41961 LEGO DOTS Designer Toolkit.
The curated list is, of course, backed up with research. For the 2022 LEGO Play Well Study, the company polled more than 55,000 parents and children in over 30 countries and found that almost all parents think children strengthen their creativity, communication, problem-solving skills and confidence while they play. Almost all children say playing as a family makes them happy and 95% of parents can concur.
Finally, LEGO lovers in Singapore can visit the pop-up store at VivoCity Level 1 East Court 1 from 10 to 19 June. There, fans can share their creative ideas or well-wishes for their future. Fans can also redeem a LEGO Minifigure if they take a photo and share it on social media.
The pop-up store will also display fan creations and a photo booth featuring a rainbow arch with Minifigures. Sets purchased from the pop-up store will come with a free limited-edition 90th Anniversary water bottle with a minimum spend of S$120. For purchases of a minimum spend of S$69, a free 30581 LEGO Tropical Parrot with a minimum spend of S$69. For more information, check out the official website!
