With The Matrix 4‘s release date moved up from 1 April 2022 to 22 December 2021, fans have been waiting eagerly to find out what the 4th movie starring Keanu Reeves will be titled.
It would seem the official title might have been leaked via The Matrix 4’s Key Hairstylist from Germany. Having received a Matrix-themed trench coat as a gift from Lana Wachowski (Director) and James Mcteigue (Producer), she posted up a video on Instagram showing off the insides and a tag with the message that reads, “…during these extraordinary times in the making of Matrix Resurrections. Wir lieben euch, Lana & James.”
So yes, the official full title for the upcoming movie looks to be Matrix Resurrections.
The Instagram post has since been deleted but fans have already captured the shots, as you can see below:
Until Warner Bros. officially announces the movie title, we’ll have to take this “leak” with a pinch of salt. The Matrix 4, or Matrix Resurrections will be released on 22 December 2021 in theatres and HBO Max.
