KFC is kicking off 2025 on a strong note. In celebration of the upcoming Lunar “Mew” Year, the fried chicken restaurant is joining forces with popular Japanese illustration series mofusand for a meow-vellous collaboration, marking the first time a fast-food chain in Singapore has launched an official partnership with the costume-wearing feline character.
Starting 13 January 2025, fans will be able to get their hands on themed collectibles and merchandise with every purchase of any KFC cereal chicken box or cereal chicken burger box, including red packets, plushie keychains, and an eight-inch plush. Expect two different designs for the red packets from 13 January to 18 February, alongside three variations for the four-inch keychains to be rolled out in consecutive weeks as follows:
- Week 1 (Bucket): Available from 13 January
- Week 2 (Egg Tart): Available from 20 January
- Week 3 (Drumstick): Available from 27 January
Meanwhile, the KFC x mofusand Blind Sticker Pack comes free with a minimum spend of S$12 in a single receipt. There’s a catch, however — it can only be redeemed for breakfast purchases, with three designs up for grabs from 13 January to 11 February.
The star of the collaboration, the eight-inch KFC Bucket mofusand Plush will undoubtedly garner the most hype when it drops on 5 February. Limited to one per customer, it puts the adorable kitten in a bucket hat and a red ribbon reminiscent of Colonel Sanders’ signature bowtie, and is set to retail at S$19.95. Unlike the restof the collection, the limited-edition toy is only stocked in 10 outlets: Kallang, West Mall, Tampines Mall, Causeway Point, VivoCity, NEX, Jurong Point, Lot 1, Compass One, and Northpoint City.
At the same time, the fast-food chain is also bringing back its seasonal fan favourites, starting with the KFC Chicken Skin in original (S$4.95) and spicy (S$5.45) flavours from 2 to 18 January. The KFC Cereal Chicken will follow after, going on sale from 8 January to 18 February alongside the new Cereal Chicken Burger — “a Zinger fillet coated in buttery cereal goodness sits between soft brioche buns with cheese and mayo.”
