It’s tradition at this point, but Google has announced the latest devices for its Pixel portfolio. The company’s 10th-gen flagship lineup, which includes three variations of the Pixel 10 and the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold, has been upgraded to its proprietary Tensor G5 chip. Here’s the kicker – the entire suite will retail at the same price as before.

Starting with the base model, its build is identical to the previous design at 72 x 152.8 x 8.6mm, which is a mere millimetre thicker. The handset is slightly heavier, weighing 204 grams compared to 198 grams, but otherwise remains largely unchanged with a 6.3-inch OLED display that supports a 2,424 x 1,080-pixel resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a variable refresh rate of 60 to 120Hz.
As for the camera system, the Google Pixel 10 features a 48-megapixel (MP) wide camera, a 13MP ultra-wide snapper, and a 10.8MP telephoto lens on its rear. It touts Super Res Zoom up to 20x (and 100x on the Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL), alongside a 10.5MP selfie camera. Most of the existing AI-powered editing tools can be found here, including Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, Zoom Enhance, and an improved Add Me that allows users to add the photographer to even bigger groups.
New to the series are Camera Coach and Auto Best Take, with the former using on-device AI models and reference images to analyse a scene and offer step-by-step shooting advice, such as switching camera modes, moving closer to or further away from the subject, and trying different angles and framing. Meanwhile, Auto Best Take automatically finds and combines similar photographs into one where everyone looks their best.

For more AI magic, the all-new Magic Cue can suggest relevant information and helpful actions based on contextual information, such that a restaurant’s address is automatically pulled up when users receive a text message about its location. There’s also Gemini, which comes in handy for reading multiple large documents, summarising content, researching, navigation via Maps connection, and more.
Like before, the Pixel 10 Pro phones come with a free one-year subscription to the Google AI Pro plan, unlocking priority access to NotebookLM and Veo 3, the company’s text-to-video generation model. The Pixel 10 Pro shares similar physical specifications in terms of size (72 x 152.8 x 8.6mm), display measurement (6.3 inches), and refresh rate (120Hz), but is heavier at 207 grams, offers better resolution (2,856 x 1,280 pixels on a Super Actua OLED screen), and sports a 42MP selfie camera.
First introduced in the previous generation, the Pro XL is the biggest of all three models. It comes in at 76.6 x 162.8 x 8.5mm, weighs 232 grams, and boasts a 6.8-inch Super Actua display with a resolution of 2,992 x 1,344 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Battery capacity differs across the board, with the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL rated 4,970mAh, 4,870mAh, and 5,200mAh, respectively.

Rounding out the lineup is the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, which presents an alternative to traditional smartphones. The foldable device tips the scales at 258 grams, measuring 76.3 x 155.2 x 10.8 mm when folded and 150.4 x 155.2 x 5.2mm in tablet form. A 6.4-inch inner Actua display pairs a 2,364 x 1,080-pixel resolution with a 60 to 120Hz refresh rate, expanding into 8 inches when fully open.
Camera-wise, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold packs a triple rear setup comprising a 48MP wide camera, a 10.5MP ultrawide shooter, and a 10.8MP telephoto lens, as well as a 10MP selfie camera. Other notable features include a 5,015mAh battery, an IP68 water and dust resistance rating, split-screen multitasking, and various photography tools like Dual Screen preview and Instant View, allowing users to review their snapshots side by side on the unfolded inner screen right as the shutter goes off.
The entire Pixel 10 family is now available for pre-order (base, Pro / Pro XL, and Pro Fold) and will hit shelves at different times: 28 August for the first three, and 9 October for their foldable sibling. Local pricing and availability for each may be viewed below:
