It’s-a him, Mario, again, and this time, he’s brought more friends along for the ride!
When the galaxy is in peril, who better to save it than a pair of plumber brothers… and an adorable green dinosaur? After saving the Mushroom Kingdom from the villainous Bowser, Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and the gang are set to embark on another adventure, now of even more epic proportions, when The Super Mario Galaxy Movie hits theatres on 1 April 2026.
With returning directors Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic back at the helm once more, the animated video game movie sequel is shaping up to be an even bigger treat for fans, as not only will the Mario brothers’ journey take them across the galaxy to familiar locales like the Sand Kingdom seen in 2017’s Super Mario Odyssey, it will also introduce some recognisable video gaming icons too, such as Bowser Jr., Princess Rosalina, and most importantly, everyone’s favourite friendly dino, Yoshi.
Returning for the sequel are the ensemble cast from 2023’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie, such as Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek. Other familiar faces also lend their voices to this next adventure, such as Brie Larson as Rosalina, Benny Safdie as Bowser Jr., Luis Guzman as Wart, and Donald Glover as Yoshi.
