‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Sparks Excitement With Pyro’s Fiery Comeback

Marvel fans are in for a treat as Aaron Stanford makes a fiery comeback as Pyro in Deadpool & Wolverine. This marks his return after an 18-year hiatus from the X-Men universe.

Stanford first portrayed John Allerdyce, aka Pyro, in 2003’s X2: X-Men United and later in 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand. He reprises his role in the upcoming movie, delighting fans worldwide about his return to the series.

“I was just very happy to even have a costume,” Stanford said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “In the original X-Men films, Pyro gets really shortchanged in terms of a costume. So to have him be in a proper superhero costume that was actually taken from the comics themselves was very cool,” he added.

Pyro is not the only returning character in the upcoming movie. Director Shawn Levy teased about the numerous cameos in Deadpool & Wolverine, emphasising that the film weaves familiar faces into the narrative without overshadowing it.

Fans eagerly wait to see how Stanford’s return as Pyro, now suited up in a proper superhero costume, will add sparks to the dynamic narrative of Deadpool and Wolverine.

Actor Tyler Mane, who played Sabretooth in the original X-Men film in 2000 is also returning, with a clip confirming a face-off between Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and his archenemy. While a lot more cameos are likely being kept secret until the release of the film, we are hoping to see some possibilities unfold on the big screen.

Deadpool & Wolverine, the only MCU movie of 2024, will be released on 26 July.
