The Teen Titans will make their debut on the big screen, as DC Studios officially announced a live-action movie based on the popular DC comics characters. Ana Nogueira serves as the film’s screenwriter, and is also working on Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
No casting or character details have been announced yet, but we can expect Robin, Starfire, Wonder Girl, Cyborg, Raven, Beast Boy, and Kid Flash to potentially join the crew. There have been many iterations of Teen Titans since its original inception in 1964, and the team’s roster has frequently been swapped around, so it’s currently unclear which version will inspire the James Gunn and Peter Safran-led DC universe film.
The Teen Titans have had an animated series, Teen Titans Go!, as well as a live-action TV series, Titans, which ran for four seasons until 2023. A Teen Titans live-action movie has plenty of material to work with, and could pave the way for more DC comics characters to appear on the big screen.
We’re excited to see the direction the film will take, and more news is expected in the coming months, so stay tuned for more developments!
