It appears that the Crysis series is far from over, as a new trailer shared by developer Crytek is pointing towards the arrival of Crysis 4. While the English trailer is more enigmatic, the update on Crytek’s official account on Chinese video sharing platform BiliBili is more direct.
It was not that long ago that the Crysis Remastered Trilogy was made available back in October 2021. Players could experience the remasters of the three games in its heart-pounding glory, made even better with updated visuals. There was even new lighting, updated assets, and ray tracing to make the 8K textures really pop on both PCs and consoles.
That probably delivered some success to Crytek, especially now that Crysis 4 is in the works. How the new entry will shape up is anyone’s guess, but for fans of the groundbreaking shooter back in the day, it is time to get excited.
