Netflix has dropped a new teaser trailer for Season 2 of Castlevania Nocturne, along with a release window of January 2025.
As part of Geeked Week, the minute-long teaser was revealed on 16 September, showing fans what to expect from the new season, mainly the team-up between protagonist Richter Belmont and series mainstay Alucard, who made his triumphant return during the closing scenes of the first season.
The teaser features a voiceover from Alucard, who asks Richter for help. Several scenes depict returning characters such as Maria Renard, alongside new introductions like a flying moth-like creature and a shadowy figure in a church.
Series antagonist Erzsebet Báthory, the Vampire Messiah, also appears, looking more demonic than ever, and will seemingly serve as a worthy adversary once again. The teaser ends with Alucard and Richter standing side by side, hinting at a potential showdown between them and the vampires.
Based on the video game series by Konami, Castlevania: Nocturne takes place 300 years after the end of Castlevania, the original four-season Netflix series, and follows vampire hunter Richter Belmont as he gathers allies to prevent the rise of an ancient vampire queen.
The series will be produced by Project 51 Productions and Powerhouse Animation, with Sam and Adam Deats returning to direct. Castlevania Nocturne season 2 is set to air on Netflix in January 2025.
