With the release of a new trailer, Anthony Mackie is gearing up for his latest Marvel role in Captain America: Brave New World. Stepping into the spotlight as Sam Wilson, Mackie transitions from his role as The Falcon to donning the stars and stripes of Captain America. The movie is set to echo the political thriller vibes of the 2014 hit, Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Mackie first appeared as Sam Wilson, aka The Falcon, in The Winter Soldier, initially teaming up with Chris Evans’ Captain America. Since then, he has been a staple in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), appearing in Captain America: Civil War and several Avengers films. His journey towards becoming Captain America was further explored in the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Captain America: Brave New World is directed by Julius Onah, known for The Cloverfield Paradox. The screenplay is crafted by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson, creators of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, with additional contributions from Moon Knight writer Matthew Orton, who is currently working on reshoots that introduce a new character portrayed by Giancarlo Esposito.
