The legend of Sun Wukong, or the Monkey King, has spawned countless iterations and retellings over the years, with Game Science’s Black Myth: Wukong also introducing its own twist. Two years on, the first-ever Black Myth: Wukong — Global Concert Tour is set to relive the journey back to the West, featuring an East-meets-West musical experience for all Destined ones.
Kicking off on 30 May in Hangzhou, China, it comprises 21 performances across 12 cities worldwide, including Singapore. The local show is scheduled for 24 and 25 October at the Esplanade Theatre, joining Bangkok as the only other stop in Southeast Asia. Attendees can look forward to the integration of traditional Chinese folk music with symphonic orchestration, special appearances from the original vocalists for multiple in-game songs, and setlist updates from last year’s smaller-scale tour (keep an ear out for the teaser theme of Black Myth: Zhong Kui, the studio’s next project, too).

Each fan will also receive a tier-dependent gift package upon entry, containing the following exclusive concert-themed merchandise: a commemorative ticket stub, a portrait pin mystery bag, a character white brass ring mystery bag, a “Ma-Ma-Hu-Hu (horse and tiger)” t-shirt mystery bag, and a 1/12 scale collectible figure mystery bag. Ticketing is set to open in stages, and pricing details will follow at a later date.
