Apple iPhone 16 Singapore Prices: Top-Of-The-Line Pro Max Costs S$2,499

As with yearly refreshes nowadays, each new generation of devices usually features iterative changes more than groundbreaking upgrades. The iPhone 16 series, announced during Apple’s “Glowtime” event held on 9/10 September, puts a heavier focus on artificial intelligence (AI), but users can also expect improvements to existing features, alongside a handful of new additions.

For those mulling over the decision-making process, here’s a quick look at the Singapore price table to kick things off:

While the prices are still on the higher end, it’s worth noting that the most premium model, the iPhone 16 Pro Max with 1TB of memory, costs slightly less than its predecessor. It will top out at S$2,499, down from S$2,639 for the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Pre-orders for the iPhone 16 devices in Singapore open on 13 September, with availability beginning 20 September. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will come in ultramarine, teal, pink, white, and black, with the iPhone 16 Pro lineup offering colour options of black titanium, natural titanium, white titanium, and desert titanium.

Depending on personal preferences and demands, the key considerations for making the switch may vary. Apple Intelligence would be the biggest reason for most, however, ushering in a slew of handy capabilities, such as Visual Intelligence, a Google Lens-like feature that pulls up relevant information when the camera is pointed at a subject, and the ability to summarise emails, text, or notifications.

Other notable highlights include:

  • A18 chip (A18 Pro for the Pro models), complete with hardware-accelerated ray tracing and 5x faster frame rates
  • New Camera Control button, which uses swipe and tap gestures for camera app control
  • 48MP main camera + new autofocusing 12MP ultra-wide camera with macro mode
  • Bigger battery capacity

Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will boast bigger screens (6.3 inches and 6.9 inches respectively), Grade 5 titanium chassis, 4K 120fps video capture, and a triple-camera setup of a 48MP “Fusion Camera”, a new 48MP ultrawide camera, and a 12MP 5x telephoto camera.

Alongside the iPhone 16 series, the Cupertino giant also unveiled its thinnest, biggest, and brightest Apple Watch to date and a long-overdue update for the AirPods line, including its first-ever active noise cancellation option for the base AirPods 4 model.
