Gamescom Asia X Thailand Game Show 2026: Bandai Namco/Square Enix Booth Highlights!

When it comes to gaming events in Southeast Asia, Thailand Game Show has one of the strongest regional presences and continues to attract crowds year after year. After a record-breaking first-time merger with gamescom Asia last year, the annual celebration returns to grace Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok for its 2026 iteration, featuring big-name headliners, main-stage programmes, indie showcases, and more.

Bandai Namco Entertainment and Square Enix, undoubtedly familiar to event regulars, bring hands-on demos of newly released and upcoming titles to the show floor, alongside photo opportunities and interactive activities. Leading the charge this year are Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve and Final Fantasy VII Revelation, with the former booth featuring an installation of the F/A-18E Super Hornet Fighter Jet and a hanging bar challenge. A meet-and-greet with series brand director, Kazutoki Kono, will take place from 4 to 5pm later today, 31 October, and is expected to be a big draw.

After all, the session for Naoki Hamaguchi, director of Final Fantasy VII Revelation – held on 30 October between 2.30 and 3.30pm – saw a snaking queue, as he interacted with fans against the backdrop of a recreation inspired by the Highwind from the game. Both headliners also shared more about their respective titles on the main stage, including a celebration of Ace Combat‘s 30-year legacy and fresh gameplay footage of a Moogle-led mini-game in Square Enix’s upcoming trilogy capper.

Over at the Gundam Rogue Orbit booth, where the demo setup marks a first for Southeast Asia, a Gundam Helix statue stands tall. A collaboration with The Gundam Base Thailand is the other highlight, allowing visitors to build their own RX-78-2 model kit and take it home, while a dedicated Bandai Card Games area offers a taste of battle card action.

The remaining standalone play areas are centred on Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, Final Fantasy Resonance, and The Blood of Dawnwalker, boasting a statue of antagonist Brencis at the entrance. Joining Hello Kitty Party Land and Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival in a lively shared space is Ondeh Ondeh Kaya’s Tasty Tale, complete with a rotating display of the titular Kaya and an activity area to place stickers of its characters across scenes from the game.

Throughout the event, the Bandai Namco Entertainment booth will welcome special guests and creators, including a mascot of Pac-Man. Visitors can also look forward to picking up the following exclusive freebies, with some available after completing designated demos and activities:

  • Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve faction velcro patch and Nugget paper hat
