Aim is everything in competitive shooters, but several factors count toward accuracy, including mouse weight and sensitivity settings. But the latter isn’t as straightforward, often requiring guesswork to find the right DPI, or dots per inch, leaving users with no way to know if the configuration truly fits them, especially across different games.

The Corsair Sabre v3 Pro PureVector series looks to shake up the formula by introducing personalised directional sensitivity, a proprietary addition that tailors DPI count to individual performance. Built on research showing inconsistent directional biases across players, with some faster and/or more accurate in one direction than others, it uses a patented algorithm and 4B+ data points to adjust input relationship based on calculated metrics in distance, precision, and more.
Per the company, every shot is broken into three phases — detect and decide, aim, and click — and delivers up to 33 percent improvement in aim speed, with the one-time setup saved directly to the Sabre v3 Pro firmware and applicable in every game. Full integration with aim-training platform AimLab is also available, offering five minutes of in-game calibration saved directly to the wireless mouse.
Other dedicated gaming features include an 8K polling rate powered by the Nordic 54-series MCU for near-instantaneous response, the Marksman X sensor with 70G acceleration, 800 IPS speed, and 42,000 DPI (which only a select few will use), and performance optical switches. Battery life is rated at up to 25 hours and 140 hours at 8,000Hz and 1,000Hz polling rates, respectively.
Alongside the ultralight model, designed for quick flicks and sweeping 180-degree turns, the device comes in two shapes to accommodate different grips: symmetrical, which weighs 37 grams and supports claw, palm, or fingertip grips for agility and control, and ergonomic (41 grams), sculpted for the right hand. The included grip tape and mouse skates allow for further customisation, while Corsair Web Hub grants users access to various controls in their browser.

The Corsair Sabre v3 Pro PureVector range is available in black or white, with the Ultralight and Ultralight Ergo iterations retailing for S$249. As for other variations, the Magnesium Alloy (MG) and MG Ergo are slightly heavier at 49 grams (symmetrical) and 55 grams (ergonomic), respectively, compared to 48 grams and 54 grams for the Carbon Fibre (CF) and CF Ergo lineup.
