D23 Asia is one step closer to landing on our shores, as the ultimate Disney fan event will make its first appearance in Asia at Marina Bay Sands Singapore from 25 to 27 June 2027.
As part of the studio’s expansion across the Asia Pacific region, the first-ever D23 Asia will take place at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre and feature three days of Disney storytelling, creativity and innovation spanning immersive experiences, exclusive showcases and announcements, and most importantly, no shortage of merchandise.
First launched in Hollywood in 2009, D23 has steadily evolved into a global celebration over the years, with events held in locations like Japan in 2018, Brazil in 2024, as well as in Anaheim, California, which is taking place from 14 to 16 August 2026. Often described as “Disney’s version of Comic-Con”, the first-ever Singapore edition of the event is set to build on the legacy of past iterations while providing a uniquely Asian experience, all while offering the same scale fans have come to expect.
“Bringing D23 to Singapore reflects the incredible passion of Disney fans across Asia Pacific and our desire to meet them where they are,” said Asad Ayaz, Chief Marketing and Brand Officer, The Walt Disney Company, in a previous statement. “D23 Asia will bring these fans together as a community to celebrate the powerful connection they have with our stories, characters, and experiences, and to get an exciting look at what lies ahead.”
With major announcements made during D23’s previous iterations such as the first concept art for Avatar: Fire and Ash and Toy Story 5, or the first looks at the Lilo & Stitch remake and Ice Age 6 seen during D23 Brazil 2024, all eyes are on what’s to come during D23 Anaheim 2026, and more importantly, how D23 Asia will top that when it hits in 2027. As the event is also well-known for featuring the appearances of some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, it will also be interesting to see who will show up on the shores of our little red dot when the event makes its Singapore debut next year.
D23 Asia: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event will take place at Marina Bay Sands Singapore from 25 to 27 June 2027, with fans able to pre-purchase their tickets starting from November this year.
