Taking to Instagram, the 45-year-old actress posted an image of herself in the recording studio. “In the booth for [Sonic the Hedgehog 4],” read her post’s caption. “#AmyRose is coming to life!” She also tagged her fellow co-star, Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation), who voices the titular blue hedgehog in the franchise, adding, “Wish you were here!!!”

Bell’s post follows a similar one made by Schwartz last week, where he shared an image of himself with director Jeff Fowler and editor Al LeVine, celebrating the start of his own voice recording session with the caption, “Voice records for Sonic 4 have begun! I. Am. So. Excited. For. You. To. See. This. Movie.”

With two major stars of the film already hard at work recording their lines, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is steadily gearing up for its release in theatres on 19 March 2027. The film has also wrapped production recently, with Fowler celebrating the milestone last month by posting a behind-the-scenes image of himself with a statue of Metal Sonic, the evil robotic version of the Blue Blur, last seen during the mid-credits scene of 2024’s Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

While plot details for Sonic the Hedgehog 4 remain under wraps for now, the film is also set to feature a familiar crew of returning faces and voices, including Colleen O’Shaughnessey, Idris Elba, and Keanu Reeves as Tails, Knuckles and Shadow, respectively, with its live-action cast including James Marsden, Jim Carrey, Tika Sumpter, and Lee Majdoub as Tom, Dr Robotnik, Maddie and Agent Stone, respectively. Additionally, Ben Kingsley, Nick Offerman, Matt Berry, and Richard Ayoade will also appear in currently undisclosed roles.
