LEGO 40926 SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive Console Arrives This June

With the release of the Gift-With-Purchase LEGO SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive Controller last year, it was inevitable that the console set would eventually hit the market. SEGA and the LEGO Group have just unveiled the LEGO SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive Console (40926). This brick‑built tribute captures the magic of SEGA’s iconic console, a legend that defined gaming for millions worldwide.

Builders can switch things up by customising their creation into either the SEGA Genesis or the SEGA Mega Drive version with the included sticker sheet. Pity it’s not printed tiles though… But anyway it comes with a pair of detachable controllers, a removable game card, and retro sticker decorations. The set packs in 479 pieces and measures 4 cm high, 16 cm wide, and 12 cm deep. It’s quite a bit smaller than expected, which is unforunate, as it doesn’t scale well when displayed next to the previous released NES, Game Boy and Atari sets.

This release continues the winning partnership between SEGA and LEGO, following fan‑favourites like the Sonic the Hedgehog product range and the Green Hill Zone set.

The LEGO SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive Console launches on 1 June 2026 at US$39.99 / £34.99 / €39.99. Grab yours at LEGO.com or your nearest LEGO Store.
