Made-In-Singapore Indie Game ‘SEDAP! A Culinary Adventure’ Plates Up Major Update

The cooking collaboration chaos in SEDAP! A Culinary Adventure is about to get spicier — and in more ways than one. The made-in-Singapore indie title from local studio kopiforge has rolled out its biggest patch yet, titled “The Seasoning Update”, bringing several highly-requested features to PC, followed by console versions later in December 2025.

SEDAP! A Culinary Adventure Seasoning Update

Coming a month after the game’s console release, it adds six new features to the existing list, which includes 42 chaotic levels across three unique biomes, over 50 Southeast Asian recipes, as well as fixed and dynamic split-screen options for local multiplayer. Alongside game balancing tweaks, user interface improvements, bug fixes, and Steam Trading Cards, players can expect the following:

  • The Bestiary: Discover Khaya Island’s inhabitants with the Bestiary – a new chapter of the Makanomicon featuring brand new artwork, names, and detailed descriptions of the Monsters you’ll encounter.
  • In-Game Map: Introduces a quick toggle that shows an aerial view of the level, denoting ingredient spawns and a dynamic respawn timer.
  • Herb Mode/Spice Mode: For players who prefer a more casual experience, Herb Mode is a new difficulty setting in the game, where damage taken, monster HP, dish freshness and order timing depletions are greatly reduced. However, players will only be able to earn Pink Stars in the game’s original Spice Mode (standard difficulty). Players can toggle between the two modes at the start of the game, and in the game’s settings!
  • Four New Charms: Refresh your adventure with four brand new charms — Jade Earrings, Five Stones, Yadom, and Kerosang! Together with an increased charm weight limit (5 → 7), you can equip these new Charms to help with slowing food decay or starting a level with a combo streak.

Apart from languages spoken in the larger Asia region, including English, Chinese (both Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Bahasa Melayu (Malay) and Indonesian, Tagalog, Thai, and Vietnamese, SEDAP! also features support for Spanish, German, French, Italian, Turkish, Brazilian Portuguese, Romanian, Hungarian, Russian, and Ukrainian, coming up to 20 available options.

In light of the update, the cooking-combat adventure is offering a 35 percent discount for a limited time, lowering its price on Steam to under US$10. It launched on the platform with an additional soundtrack bundle earlier in May, with online multiplayer coming to consoles in the first quarter of 2026.
