The enduring popularity of Final Fantasy can be attributed to various factors, but one element continues to steal the hearts of fans — excellent soundtracks. For franchise veterans, the Distant Worlds live orchestra serves as an annual celebration of its musical legacy, and the tradition isn’t going away anytime soon.
This time, the focus is on Final Fantasy XIV and FFXIV, the latest numbered mainline entry that was noticeably missing from last year’s setlist, with the rest of the series also getting its fair share of attention. In Singapore, Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy XIV and XVI will take over the Star Theatre on 24 October 2025 at 7:30 pm, promising two hours of recollecting memories for one night only.
Leading the orchestra is Arnie Roth, conductor of past Distant Worlds performances, alongside Amanda Achen, the original vocalist for both titles. In addition to fan-favourite classics from Nobuo Uematsu, Masashi Hamauzu, Masayoshi Soken, and Yoko Shimomura, as well as other composers throughout the games, attendees can expect an HD video created by Square Enix specially for the concert, too.
