‘The Boys’ Showrunner Eric Kripke Expresses Interest In Working On Star Wars

The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke has one successful franchise under his belt and as the hit show hurtles through Season 4, and was renewed for a final fifth season, an interview with Rolling Stone revealed that the co-creator was an avid Star Wars fan.

‘Star Wars Eclipse’ Will Retain Quantic Dream Story-driven Fundamentals Despite Being Action-adventure

According to Rolling Stone, Kripke was described as “a lifelong Star Wars fan and fully intends to do something in that universe one day,” but did not provide a direct quote on the topic, though it’ll be interesting to see what he brings to the table with his satirical portrayals if he gets the chance to work on a Star Wars project.

But for now, Kripke has his hands full with several spin-off projects in the world of The Boys, including Gen V, which is in production on Season 2, a series set in Mexico, and another unnamed project.

No one’s pushing us to come up with these shows,” Kripke says. “We’re pushing ourselves, because we love the world. It’s so fun to play in. So we inevitably chat about what corners of the world would be interesting. And we just let those things evolve.”

The Boys Season 4 is now streaming weekly on Amazon Prime Video.
