LEGO And CapitaLand Celebrates The Spirit Of Christmas In Singapore With Festive Sets

‘Tis not yet the season to be jolly, but it’s never too early to start celebrating Christmas. In anticipated arrival of the holiday cheer, LEGO has announced a slew of festive sets for different interests, while also unveiling its plan to host Southeast Asia’s largest LEGO Festive Carnival across 13 CapitaLand malls.

The selection of items ranges from new creations to familiar names like the Super Mario Starter Course Set and Monkie Kid Monkey King Warrior Mech pick, all of which cater to different interests. The LEGO 10275 Elf Club House, for instance, takes on a seasonal design and will feature elements like a brick-built repositionable chimney, a sleigh port for the elves to park their sleigh in, a mini Christmas tree, and a LEGO light brick to illuminate the scene. Young thrillseekers, meanwhile, can opt for the LEGO 60246 City Police Station set, which comes with light-break searchlights and police vehicles, or the LEGO 71712 Ninjago Empire Temple of Madness pick.

A full list of the selection is as follows:

  • 10275 – LEGO Elf Club House (1,197 pieces / S$159.90)
  • 75279 – LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar (311 pieces / S$49.90)

Alongside the building fun, LEGO will further extend the festive joy to the community through a carnival-themed showcase. A total of 13 CapitaLand malls are set to be graced with themed installations including Singapore’s largest LEGO Christmas carousel, a Ferris Wheel, and a Rock & Roller Coaster: Bedok Mall, Bukit Panjang Plaza, Bugis+, Bugis Junction, Funan, JCube, Junction 8, Lot One Shoppers’ Mall, Plaza Singapura, IMM, SingPost Center, Tampines Mall, and Westgate.

For a final touch of the giving spirit, shoppers with a minimum spending of S$100 at LEGO Certified Stores between 1 November and 31 December 2020 are privy to a LEGO Drawstring Bag. A minimum spending of S$180 will yield either the 40410 LEGO Charles Dickens Tribute (20 November to 6 December), or the 40416 LEGO Ice Skating Ring (7 to 31 December).

Celebrating Christmas in 2020 is likely to hit differently than other years, so hopefully LEGO’s seasonal releases can help to bring a small degree of comfort to the community. As the world waits to usher in the joyous occasion, LEGO is more than ready to go Leho-ho-ho.
