Leaks Reveal Google Pixel 9 Family With Camera & AI Boost

In the latest series of leaks, marketing materials for Google’s upcoming Pixel 9 event have surfaced, providing a detailed look at the specs and features of the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

According to the leaked information from91mobiles by reliable leaker OnLeaks, the base Pixel 9 will feature a 6.3-inch display and 12GB of RAM, while the Pixel 9 Pro will come in both 6.3-inch and 6.8-inch sizes with 16GB of RAM. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is expected to have a 6.3-inch display when folded and an expansive eight-inch display when unfolded, also with 16GB of RAM. All devices will be powered by Google’s new G4 Tensor chip.

Camera specs differ slightly from previous leaks, with the base Pixel 9 reportedly featuring a 10.5-megapixel front-facing camera and a rear setup with a 50MP wide camera and 48MP ultrawide lens. The Pixel 9 Pro is expected to have a 42MP selfie camera, along with a rear 50MP main camera, 48MP ultrawide sensor, and 48MP telephoto lens. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold could come with a 10MP selfie camera, 48MP main camera, 10.5MP ultrawide sensor, and 10.8MP telephoto lens.

Additionally, the leak highlights several new AI-driven features aimed at enhancing photography, security, and overall user experience. One key highlight is the appearance of Pixel Screenshots which helps “you save info that you want to remember later – like events, places and more”. It sounds good in practice but without any organisation it might just be a stream of consciousness to sift through. We’ll have to see how it all works in practice. The devices will also feature advanced security measures, including a built-in Titan M3 security chip and face unlock technology. This focus on AI was also present in its predecessor the Pixel 8, but appears to have been improved on even further.

The official reveal of the Pixel 9 series is set for 14 August, where Google is expected to showcase these devices and their features in detail. With the leaked information generating buzz, tech enthusiasts and potential buyers eagerly await the event to see what else Google has in store for its flagship smartphones.
