Huawei has unveiled it’s latest imaging flagship device during a global launch event in Bangkok, Thailand on 22 July. The Huawei Pura 80 Series sets a new benchmark in mobile photography, combining cutting-edge imaging technology with bold innovation, leading with the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra and Huawei Pura 80 Pro. Both models exhibit a bold and luxurious design called the Dazzling Forward Symbol, which draws inspiration from sunray motifs often seen in high-end jewelry and timepieces.
Photography enthusiasts will find plenty to love in the Pura 80 Series. The Pura 80 Pro boasts a revolutionary 1-inch Ultra Lighting Camera that captures stunning detail, especially in low-light conditions. Its Ultra Chroma Camera ensures that color reproduction is vibrant and accurate—ideal for vivid nightscapes. Meanwhile, the Pura 80 Ultra introduces a Switchable Dual Telephoto Camera, featuring a 50MP 3.7x optical zoom F/2.4 camera and a 12.5MP 9.4x optical zoom F/3.6 camera (rounded up to 10x on the phone’s UI). This allows users to shoot cinematic portraits and sharp close-ups with compelling spatial depth, all with professional-grade clarity. Photography continues to be a major strength with Huawei’s upgraded XMAGE branding. This innovation harnesses the industry’s largest telephoto sensor and refined algorithms to deliver crystal-clear images in both high-zoom and low-light settings. Whether capturing intricate architecture or sprawling city skylines, the Pura 80 Series excels at delivering true-to-life images with impressive hue and saturation. Even stage photography is elevated, with ultra-clear visuals and vibrant 4K video that recreate live performances with astonishing realism.
Smart technology is also at the heart of both devices. A standout feature is the AI Smart Controls button, designed to provide instant access to essential tools like the camera, flashlight, or AI lens. It’s customiaable and includes fingerprint recognition, ensuring both convenience and security. On top of that, AI-driven Noise Cancellation transforms call quality. By filtering out ambient sounds and emphasizing the speaker’s voice, users can enjoy distraction-free communication in any environment.
When it comes to power and performance, both models feature the same high-capacity 5,170mAh battery, along with fast charging with Huawei SuperCharge, at 100W via cable and 80W wirelessly, offering a quick and reliable power boost whenever needed. Durability has also been refined in the Pura 80 Ultra. Thanks to the second-generation Crystal Armor Kunlun Glass, the device boasts 16 times better scratch resistance and a 25 times improvement in drop protection.

Pre-orders for the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra and Pro are up now at S$1,898 and S$1,398 respectively, via Huawei Official Stores on Lazada, Shopee and TikTok Shop. The Pura 80 Ultra is available in two colours – Golden Black and Prestige Gold, while the Pura 80 Pro is available in three colours – Glazed Black, Glazed White and Glazed Red. Consumers can enjoy up to S$50 off early bird discounts with vouchers, redeemable from now till 2 August on Lazada, Shopee and TikTok Shop.
Both models will be officially released on 2 August 2025 at Huawei Experience Stores, M1, and leading retailers including Best Denki, Challenger, Courts, and SprintCass.
