Singaporean fans of Hello Kitty and other Sanrio characters will soon have something huge to look forward to this December. Literally.
From 12 December 2020 to 3 January 2021, Sentosa will be home to a number of beloved Sanrio characters as part of its festive beach light-up attraction, called ‘Island Lights with Sanrio Characters’.
From the poster below, we can expect to see light-ups of Sanrio characters including the ever adorable Hello Kitty, Pompompurin, My Melody, and Little Twin Stars. They will be situated alongside recreations of famous Sentosa landmarks such as the Ferry Terminal or the water theme park Fantasy Island’s colourful waterslides.
The Island Lights are free to visit but in order to help with crowd control due to COVID-19 restrictions, families will need to reserve a slot in order to view the lights. There will be three sessions available per night:
- 7.30pm – 8.30pm
- 8.30pm – 9.30pm
- 9.30pm – 10.30pm
Sessions will be open for reservation five days in advance. On the day of your slot, simply head to the Sapphire Pavilion along Siloso Beach and flash your reservation confirmation email along with the necessary identification in order to enter the Island Lights with Sanrio Characters.
