‘Gachiakuta’ Season 2 Drops First Look At Rudo’s Return And Information Broker Arc

It’s back to the Pit for Rudo and gang. Following earlier screenings at Anime Expo 2026 and the 25th Comic Exhibition in Taiwan, Gachiakuta has released the first-look trailer for its upcoming second season, highlighting both returning and new characters.

While it doesn’t give any plot details, the chase sequence in the opening moments hints at the events of the Information Broker Arc, or the eighth story arc of the manga. The 33-second clip comes after news of the anime’s renewal at last year’s Jump Festa, with no update on a release date. Cast information is also under wraps, but it’s safe to assume that the original voice actors, including  Aoi Ichikawa (Yamada Asaemon Fuchi in Hell’s Paradise) as Rudo, Katsuyuki Konishi (Tengen Uzui in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) as Enjin, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Inosuke Hashibara in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) as Zanka, and Yumiri Hanamori (Yamada Asaemon Sagiri in Hell’s Paradise) as Riyo, will all reprise their roles in the sophomore outing.

Based on the manga by Kei Urana and graffiti artist Hideyoshi Andou, Gachiakuta follows an outcast boy who is framed for murder and exiled into a wasteland where all criminals are dumped, known as the Pit. Fumihiko Suganuma (Train to the End of the World) directed the first anime season at Bones, which aired for 24 episodes from July to December 2025, while Hiroshi Seko (Dandadan) served as scriptwriter. Joining them are composer Taku Iwasaki (Dandadan, Jujutsu Kaisen) and Satoshi Ishino (Date A LiveCaptain Earth), who pulled double duty as character designer and chief animation director.

Gachiakuta Season 2

“Rudo lives in the slums of a floating town, where the poor scrape by under the shadow of the rich who live a sumptuous life, simply casting their garbage off the side, into the abyss. Then one day, he’s falsely accused of murder, and his wrongful conviction leads to an unimaginable punishment—exile off the edge, with the rest of the trash,” reads the official description for Gachiakuta.

“Down on the surface, the cast-off waste of humanity has bred vicious monsters, and if Rudo wants to have any hope of discovering the truth and seeking vengeance against those who cast him into Hell, he will have to master a new power and join a group known as the Cleaners who battle the hulking trash beasts of the Pit!”
