In recent years, Prime Video has been putting more Asian content into the spotlight, and the momentum is set to follow through for 2026. The streamer offered a sneak peek at its global slate during its inaugural International Originals showcase, featuring guest appearances from actors Stanley Tucci, Nicole Wallace, Park Min-young, and Wi Hajun, actor-filmmakers Dolores Fonzi and Alia Bhatt, and author Mercedes Ron.

First to be revealed for the anime lineup are three projects — “definitive reboot” of Fist of the North Star: Hokuto No Ken for the franchise’s 40th anniversary, The Ghost in the Shell, Science Saru’s fresh take on the 1995 sci-fi classic, and Season 2 of From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman, which ranked among Prime Video’s Top 10 titles in over 45 countries. The full lineup will be announced in the coming months.
Meanwhile, Korean entertainment is set to span various genres, from romantic comedies and psychological thrillers to historical drama, in collaboration with big-name studios such as CJ ENM, SLL, and Coupang Play:

As for Indian releases, a special preview of Don’t Be Shy, a young-adult, female-forward coming-of-age drama written and directed by Sreeti Mukerji and produced by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt under Eternal Sunshine Productions, was also shown during the event. A broader slate will be unveiled in March at Prime Video Presents India.
