Although they didn’t include any extra functionality or increase the earbuds’ battery life, that didn’t stop the limited edition cases from selling like hotcakes.
Building on the success of their earlier collaboration, Samsung is back with a fresh upgrade for the Galaxy Buds 2 and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro earbuds. Now, the themed cases feature the adorable faces of Ditto, Jigglypuff, and Snorlax. These designs are downright adorable, and their undeniable appeal ensures that Pokémon enthusiasts will snatch them up with glee.
Passionate Pokémon fans will know that Jigglypuff and Snorlax have their own musical ties that make them qualified candidates to be the face of these whimsical earbuds charging cases. In the Pokémon anime, Jigglypuff was notorious for singing an enchanting lullaby that would put everyone around it to sleep. Meanwhile, the sleepy Snorlax is a massive Pokémon that is typically awoken by the soothing melodies of the Poké Flute.
Samsung is offering each of the three new designs bundled with the Galaxy Buds 2, priced at US$99 (129,000 won), or for US$152 (199,000 won) with the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. These exclusive packages are available through Samsung’s South Korean stores and select online retailers. Additionally, for those who already own the Galaxy Buds, the Poké cases can be purchased separately at a reasonable cost of about US$30 (39,600 won).
