Bill Skarsgård Targets Keanu Reeves In ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’

With John Wick: Chapter 4 set to hit theatres this coming March, we already know that Keanu Reeves‘ character will be hunted once more. With a bounty on his head and on the run, it makes sense that all sorts of colourful villains have their sights on Wick, including Bill Skarsgård‘s The Marquis de Gramont. In an interview with Total Film, he reveals that The Marquis’ only aim in John Wick: Chapter 4 is to finally end the famed Baba Yaga.

“The Marquis is a young man of unknown origin who has quickly climbed the ladder within the High Table doing god knows what,” Skarsgård explained. “I always saw him as someone from the gutter that now savours the glittery suits he’s wearing. He functions as the new sheriff and sets out to rid the world of John Wick once and for all.”

Of course, as a member of the High Table, The Marquis will obviously play to his strengths in order to get one over John Wick. This includes twisting certain rules to level the playing field, so to speak, or in reality, stacking the deck against Wick.

“John’s getting old and tired; the Marquis is offering him a way out,” Skarsgård teases. “To be the one who finally kills the Baba Yaga would secure his status and power within the High Table.”

While we can expect plenty of amazing fights and set pieces, knowing that The Marquis is bringing something else to the table of John Wick: Chapter 4 is exciting, to say the least. With both dangerous bounty hunters and the High Table alike gunning for him, here’s hoping Wick survives when the movie debuts this coming 24 March.

In addition to Reeves and Skarsgård, John Wick: Chapter 4 stars Donnie Yen as CaineLaurence Fishburne as The Bowery King, Ian McShane as Winston Scott, Hiroyuki Sanada as Shimazu, Lance Reddick as Charon, Scott Adkins as Killa, Clancy Brown as The Harbinger, Shamier Anderson as The Tracker, Marko Zaror as Chidi and George Georgiou as The Elder, who replaces Saïd Taghmaoui, who portrayed the character in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum
