Variety is king when it comes to consumer options, especially with different demands and preferences. With the Creative Aurvana Ace 2 and the AirPods Pro 2 (2nd gen), sound quality and active noise cancellation (ANC) capabilities take centrestage, joining a host of other features that each offer.
There’s a fundamental disparity to note, however. At S$219, the former is more than S$150 cheaper than its Apple counterpart, and while comparison might not be quite fair, the Creative Aurvana Ace 2 has shown that it can still find its footing in an oversaturated market.
Instead of ANC, it channels more work into sounding better. Part of the heavy-lifting is done by the xMEMS driver, which uses electric pulses to expand and contract silicon membranes, allowing for more precise and natural audio. Sounds are punchier as well, delivering more oomph than one would expect.
Elsewhere from ANC to comfort, Apple is the way to go. Ultimately, the choice boils down to a user’s priorities, and our comparison video is here to give a detailed look at the battle of the buds with some real-world testing.
