A Star Wars x Le Creuset Cookware Collection Is Coming To Kitchens Far, Far Away

There have been many Star Wars collaborations over the years, some tastefully and cleverly done, and others taking on a cheekier, whackier approach. Just in time for Triple Force Friday, the popular sci-fi title is set to welcome yet another new member to its family of themed products, this time in the form of a Star Wars x Le Creuset collection.

This special tie-up between LucasFilm and the premium cookware manufacturer sees the franchise’s iconic elements brought over to the world of cooking. The exquisite, well-known Han Solo in Carbonite design, for instance, has been adapted into a roaster, while the Death Star and Millennium Falcon have transformed into silicone trivets.

It’s not Star Wars without some droids, however. The collection’s playful cocotte (or Dutch oven, if you’d prefer) line takes after the holy trinity of BB-8, C3PO, and R2-D2, with each one sporting their respective signature colour schemes. They are also decked out in smaller sizes, which most certainly increases the overall charm.

Of course, there’s no leaving out the Dark Side. Rounding up the collaboration effort is the Darth Vader Round Dutch Oven (aka a pot) that sports a sleek, all-black aesthetic, reflecting the Sith Lord’s edginess in all its entirety. A fine, small print reads, ‘Cookware does not emit sounds or illuminate,” so don’t be misled by the sound and visual effects in the above reel – we’re totally cool with that, because hearing the throaty, raspy breathing of Darth Vader while the broth’s boiling is a little…strange.

The Star Wars x Le Creuset Collection will be available for purchase on November 1, 2019 at select Le Creuset boutique stores, online, and from Yuppichef.
