Rockstar Drops ‘Grand Theft Auto VI’ Launch Trailer With Explosive Heists & Steamy Shower Action

It’s been a long road, but Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto VI is finally on the horizon, with the title receiving an explosive launch trailer that’s equal parts violent and sexy ahead of its 19 November release.

With its footage captured entirely in-game from a PlayStation 5, the launch trailer features quick shots of scenes that will surely pique the interest of franchise fans, including high-stakes heists, its beautiful and dynamic open world, and, of course, a healthy dose of steamy romance between lead characters Jason and Lucia.

Despite its brief length, the trailer manages to pack in some interesting details too, beginning with a scene of Jason decked out in full military gear straight out of the Ghost Recon franchise, indicating that players will be able to take part in some black ops-esque missions, possibly for some kind of military corporation similar to Grand Theft Auto V’s Merryweather Security Consulting.

In between shots of what players can expect from the open world of Leonida and the many heists they will take part in as its main characters, the trailer also features a pretty intimate shower scene between the duo, and even then, it throws in some details too, such as the ankle monitor attached to Lucia’s leg, hinting that she is out on parole at that point in the story. Jason also receives a call from Lucia early on in the trailer, one that indicates she is in prison, which can point to the scene being a prologue sequence that sets up the game’s events, or that players will be forced to play solely as Jason, and potentially help break Lucia out of prison at one point in the campaign.

Apart from the snippets of the game, the trailer is also set against a new standalone single from electronic duo Justice, “Flower in a Hurricane”, featuring Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, with the game’s official soundtrack also available for pre-orders online and pre-saves on major music streaming services.

Fans just need to wait a little longer, as Grand Theft Auto VI will finally launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on 19 November 2026.
