Atlus Unveils ‘Persona 6’, Sets ‘Persona 4 Revival’ Remake For Feb 2027

It’s been eight years since the last new mainline Persona game, and the wait will soon be over…hopefully. Following a series of recent leaks, Atlus and Sega have lifted the curtain on Persona 6 during the Xbox Games Showcase 2026, with its release set for PS5, Xbox Series X, and for the first time, PC.

Apart from a logo tease confirming the longstanding rumour of a green colour scheme (for the uninitiated, each instalment is associated with a colour, such as red for Persona 5), not much else was shared. “An entirely new story is about to unfold,” reads the trailer blurb.

“The highly anticipated next chapter of the iconic RPG series delivers a bold, new standalone story blending heartfelt daily life and new characters with pulse-pounding, supernatural adventure. Whether it’s your first Persona game or you’ve been here since the beginning, this one’s for you.” Awfully vague, unfortunately.

Before that, fans can look forward to the arrival of Persona 4 Revival. Announced during last year’s Xbox Games Showcase, the remake has received a new trailer with updated visuals and an 18 February 2027 release date for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The yellow-tinted original debuted in 2008, following a player-named protagonist as he moves from the city to the town of Inaba for a year and becomes involved in investigating mysterious murders with a group of friends, while harnessing the power to summon physical manifestations of their psyches known as a Persona.

An enhanced version of the game, Persona 4 Golden, was launched for PlayStation Vita in 2012 and ported to Windows in 2020, as well as to Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S in 2023. Revival drops next year, while Persona 6 is currently in development.
