‘Initial D’ Wireless Mouse With Headlights Let You Scroll At Top Speed

As much as owning the Toyota AE86 is a dream come true for anyInitial D fan, it isn’t the easiest to accomplish. A smaller-scale substitute is probably the closest fans can get to, and Japan’s Camshop has one up for grabs — a wireless mouse styled after Takumi Fujiwara’s iconic car.

Retailing for 7,700 yen (US$49 / S$62), the officially licensed product from Toyota and Kodansha features Bluetooth connectivity and front- and rear-illumination when powered on. Additionally, the headlights can be opened or closed with a lever located at the base of the mouse.

It also offers a more comfortable grip than the earlier model introduced in 2023, with a redesigned body measuring 10.5 x 4.3 x 3.8cm (length x width x height) and weighing approximately 40 grams. One of three mousemats sporting art from the series is included as a purchase bonus, but the designs will differ between the early and late versions.

The Toyota AE86 (Initial D) Fujiwara Tofu Shop wireless mouse is expected to ship on 31 March, amid the sales period of 1 March to 25 April. Both the early and late models for mid-March have already sold out, while April shipments are retailing for 7,700 yen. Pre-orders are now open.
