In another universe, Jurassic Park would have been the ideal getaway for relaxation and downtime rather than the dinosaur-fuelled catastrophe in Steven Spielberg’s 1993 film. Comcast’s Xfinity latches onto that premise for its 2026 Super Bowl ad and turns it into a reality… well, sort of, with a humorous reunion of the original cast.
Titled “Jurassic Park…Works,” the spot sees Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum reprise their iconic roles as Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler, and Ian Malcolm, respectively, albeit digitally de-aged. As Xfinity’s connectivity keeps the park systems online in this version, the trio doesn’t have to flee from wild dinosaurs and can enjoy the attraction in peace.
It also recreates one of the most recognisable moments in the movie, where Neill and Goldblum are parked in the rain in front of the T-Rex pen. “I think we’re back in business,” quips Dern, “Guys, that could have been bad.”

What an understatement.
The commercial is directed by Taika Waititi, best known for JoJo Rabbit and Thor: Ragnarok, and will get a 60-second spot during the Big Game, scheduled for 8 February. Additionally, Comcast worked alongside Universal Entertainment and Amblin Entertainment to incorporate John Williams’ original score and visual effects from Industrial Light & Magic, the special-effects outfit behind the classic adventure.
It’s not the first time Comcast has adopted this strategy — previously, the cable giant teased a vignette of E.T. in an NBC telecast of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2019. Prior to its upcoming Jurassic Park ad, 2022’s Jurassic World Dominion marked the last reunion between Neill, Dern, and Goldblum.
For fans in the U.S., Xfinity will bring several themed activations to the San Francisco Bay Area, including dinosaur projects on the historic Hobart Building, movie-inspired Lyft vehicles, a motion-sensing T-Rex billboard at 901 Market Street, and a roaming baby raptor and Jurassic Park ranger within Universal Orlando Resort.
