The new Transformers movies have polarized many a geek. If you’ve grown up with the 80s cartoon, the new movies would not exactly your cup of tea.

The toys, however, are another matter altogether. The new Grimlock is a vast difference from the original and his colour scheme doesn’t exactly match the movie trailer as well. But are they quality toys? They certainly look to retain the pedigree worth busting out the wallet for!

Make no mistake, if you are looking for the top-of-the-line Transformer toy, make sure to go for the LEADER class variant. It would set you back a cool S$109.90 at SRP.

If you think the new Grimlock is worth splashing the cash on, this early review might be able to help you reach a decision –

Personally, I think this is a great way to get kids interested again into the Transformers but oldies will feel a tad conflicted here.

Looks rather gaudy but for the avid collector, this will be a definite head turner on the shelf.

I was poking around and found an image of Jetfire! Would he make an appearance and the launch event? If so, that would be a big reveal! Looking pretty sweet and he should be of Masterpiece standard as well.

Do keep yourself updated by liking the Hasbro Singapore Facebook page to get more information regarding the launch event and more!
