If you’re an ’80s kid who grew up watching repeats of Top Gun (1986) on TV over and over again, can quote iconic lines from one of the most influential aerial combat movies ever made and are looking forward to the long-awaited sequel, Top Gun: Maverick, have we got a treat for you.
In light of the annual Top Gun Day, held on 13 May, we want to bring you and a wingman back in time, to relive that once in a lifetime experience again, but for the first time. For the first time on the big screen at Lido IMAX, and 36 years after its original theatrical run, Top Gun is doing a once-in-a-lifetime flyby in theatres, and you’re invited.
In anticipation of Top Gun: Maverick‘s release on 26 May 2022, and in collaboration with United International Pictures Singapore, Geek Culture would like to invite the most hardcore of Top Gun fans to celebrate Top Gun Day on 13 May 2022, with a special screening of the original Tom Cruise classic alongside a full cinema hall of fans, and for the first time on an IMAX screen. We have 200 pairs of tickets in all to be given out and there will be limited Top Gun: Maverick swag (t-shirt, bomber jacket, cap and pin) to be won during the pre-show trivia segment!
