Geek Culture made it to an exclusive VIP experience on the ANA R2-D2 Jet! It was an experience that even money cannot buy.
We were at the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim earlier this year when ANA broke the news that there was going to be an R2-D2 plane. That sent our hearts into palpitations.
When it was announced that the plane was going to land at the Singapore Changi Airport for a short few days, we knew we had to get on the plane!
And because we are that geeky enough, Geek Culture was invited for a VIP treatment onboard the ANA R2-D2 Jet over the weekend! The experience was complete with a three-hour chill-out session on the plane’s Business Class section, where we got to taste the Business Class meal, watch one of the Star Wars movies from the original trilogy (yup, the correct one) and immerse in the R2-themed environment onboard. But enough talk, let’s just geek out to the pictures.
No Star Wars flight is complete without the exclusive swag. Our favourite is definitely the gorgeous 1:200 scale model plane. Thanks again ANA for this once in a lifetime experience!
Yonk is a geek who is fortunate enough to have an equally geeky Star Wars fan for a wife, who owns a LEGO Millennium Falcon encased in a glass coffee table as their home’s centre-piece.
