Samsung’s Do-It-All Smart Monitor Lets You Stream Content And Work Without A PC CPU

At Samsung’s Neo QLED Tech Seminar 2021, besides their highly anticipated QLED 8K TV, the Korean Chaebol showed off a Smart Monitor which includes preloaded apps, built-in speakers, and Remote Access.

The Smart Monitor line-up includes the 27″ and 32″ M5 model in full HD along with the 32″ M7 in 4K UHD.

Via built-in Bluetooth and WiFi, users can access Microsoft Office 365 Suite from their Remote Access software to work on your Word documents or Excel sheets and save them on Cloud without the need for a PC, all you need is a keyboard and mouse.

The Smart Monitor can connect to a handful of devices using Wireless Samsung Dex, Tap View or Casting and it’s also the only monitor that supports AirPlay2 which allows you to stream, watch or share your content directly from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. With Wireless Samsung Dex, you can run your android apps like Slack on the monitor in a more PC-like environment.

Even if you don’t intend to pair up your mobile devices, the built-in app store allows you to download and stream content directly from Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV+, YouTube, and a variety of over the top (OTT) content providers.

The Smart Monitor is essentially a monitor that does a few extra things to enhance your productivity and entertainment experience, while it acts like any other monitor, it makes your remote work-life easier by having the ability to access Microsoft Office, and lets you cast your mobile devices and also watch movies through its own app store without the need of a desktop or laptop.

The Smart Monitor comes with a voice-assisted remote controller, two 5W built-in speakers, 2.0 HDMI and USB ports with the 32″ M7 model sporting an additional USB-C port to connect or power up other devices.

The 27″ M5, 32″ M5 and 32″ M7 are available for S$548, S$628, and S$898 respectively.
