GeraldPrepare yourself Funko fans. Simply Toys, together with Funko, are launching a Limited Edition Merlion Funko exclusively at the Singapore Toys, Games and Comics Convention.
We’ve had a peek at the Merlion and it certainly looks awesome. It’s a pity it missed the hype of SG50 but with all things Singapore this is an icon that cannot be missed!
There will be two colours available and depending on your preference, you’ll be able to opt for either the multicolored Merlion or one that’s in his classic white colour that oversees the Singapore Bay area.
“We worked with Pop! Life who created several designs, before we decided on this unique combination of colours. Hopefully, it will inspire the many Funko collectors worldwide to discover our national mascot”, said Ann Goh, founder of Simply Toys.
“We have been pushing to have an exclusive Funko Pop for Singapore and what better representation of Singapore than our world famous Merlion?”
The real show stealer has to be the multicoloured Merlion, and it looks as though it might fly off the shelves in no time at STGCC 2016 this weekend.
Priced at S$24.90 for the multicoloured exclusive, the special Funko figurine depicts the mythical creature, which is a fish with the head of a lion, as a red, yellow and green beast. As for the white version, it will be priced at S$19.90.
