Introducing the LG G Flex2 to Singapore

Revealed for the first time at CES, the LG G Flex2 builds on all the awesome features LG has built into its phones and illustrates that they have kept a close ear to the ground by adding new features that work to alleviate common gripes by mobile phone users out there.

Apart from the usual better processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with 2.0GHz 64-bit Octa-Core CPU)  and better screen (5.5-inch Full HD Curved P-OLED, 1080 x 1920 pixels / 403 ppi), LG has focused a good part of their efforts on the design of their phone. Fast charging is touted as well with the supplied charger but it’s pretty hard to see it as a demonstration.

If you look closer above, you would notice a swirl pattern which differs from the horizontal lines found in the LG G3. The phone does feel very premium in hand no doubt.

From every angle the phone looks awesome and it fits great in the pocket.

The LG G Flex2 comes shipped with Lollipop 5.0.1 as shown above and there’s isn’t anything new UI wise, so you’d feel right at home if you’re already using a LG phone.

My favourite part of this phone would be the addition of that LG terms as the Gesture View function. It simply means that after taking a photo, simply pulling your phone closer to the body (naturally) the phone would give the user a preview of the shot. This gif explains it best –

Awesome feature? I certainly think so, it’s just one of those small things that gives the added edge over using stock Android. You can see that LG kept their gesture shot feature in there as well.

In case the red might be too feminine for the guys the LG G Flex2 also comes in a more sombre grey. Not as classy but I guess it works.

The LG G Flex2 makes small significant steps towards creating a phone that looking really good and with features that are both practical and handy. I can’t wait to see what the LG G4 might offer.

The LG G Flex2 will be available for pre-order in Singapore from 27 February 2015 at SGD998 in M1, Singtel and Starhub. The device comes in two colors: Platinum Silver and Flamenco Red, and will be on sale in Singapore on 14 March 2015.
