We here at Geek Culture are very proud to be able to support this homegrown event!

As it would be a one day only affair, the schedule on 24th August 2014 will be packed to the brim. We’re talking about back to back activities on level 2 of *SCAPE where most of the action will be taking place. Here’s a peek of the events lined up for the day-

We had mentioned earlier that International Cosplay Day Singapore will be taking over close to pretty much all of S*CAPE and they have even dedicated an entire floor just for cosplayers.

But wait there’s more!

It is commendable that there will be a rest area just for cosplayers to actually store their bags away, rest and even carry out repairs to their costumes at the event itself. Props to the organizers for keeping an eye out for the cosplay community that will be descending down.

International Cosplay Day Singapore 2014 would not be complete without big names to headline the event. This year, that honour would go out to Kamui and Dat Baka who each boast their own fan following.

Kamui, also know as Svetlana Quindt in real life, hails from Germany and she just loves to create huge armor and props. From what I’ve heard she’s very well respected in the community and this would be great to get up close and be wowed by her works.

Dat Baka, on the other hand, would cause the ladies to break a sweat. His portrayal of overly risque characters will definitely turn of the heat when he steps on stage for his meet and greet.

As a dedicated cosplayer, I’m guessing that simply meeting these guys up close would not be enough. The organizers of International Cosplay Day Singapore seems to have figured that out and would be giving participants access to the headliners for a small fee. At the Rare and Legendary levels, you would be able to get up close and learn from the best. Get more details about this exclusive access here. Definitely worth it!

We have an exciting second half of the year ahead and it all kicks off with International Cosplay Day. Here’s the skinny on dates, times and venue. Admission is absolutely free!
