Facebook sure has deep pockets.
I’ve always wished for a true virtual reality device since the days of the Virtual Boy by Nintendo. In the recent weeks, news of Sony coming up with their own VR device was a big leap for gaming, in my opinion.
Today it was announced the Oculus Rift would be acquired by Facebook in an announcement by Mark Zuckerberg himself –
Good news or bad? Facebook has a way of polarizing the Internet community. The biggest reaction right now comes from Minecraft creator, Markus Persson, that he has dropped plans for an Oculus version of his title.
My thoughts on this? Instagram has grown well under Facebook and still stand separate from the platform. To the average user, it doesn’t really matter but to the conspiracy theorist it would be a different issue altogether.
Gerald currently straddles between his love of video games and board gaming. There’s nothing that interests him more than trying out the newest and fanciest gadget in town as well. He dreams of publishing a board game sometime in the future!
