The awesome people at Neo Tokyo Project have done it again! DOUJIN MARKET will return in 2017 for the fifth time and will be held on 6-7 May at The Concourse, Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, from 11am to 7pm daily!

Free entry aside, enthusiasts of creative art and pop culture will be pleased to know that Doujin Market 2017 will be highlighting the creative work and content of artists around the region, including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Japan.

Visitors will get to explore three wings, Imagination, Innovation, and Inspiration, all jam-packed with content from 200 creators. The Inspiration wing aims to be the home to some really cool seminars held by prominent figures in publishing of anime, comics, and games, a must for any aspiring fan-creator. You can even get your portfolio reviewed and do some networking, this could be the big break you are looking for!

The 2017 edition will also see the inauguration of World Doujin Day – a worldwide celebration of self-publishing and creativity that takes place on the first Saturday of May every year. Marvel at the work of your fellow fans, make connections, and use the hashtag #worlddoujin to find fellow enthusiasts! This is in conjunction with the establishing of our first ever Doujin Archive, Singapore’s own time capsule of local self-published content by our local youth artists. Interested artists will be able to submit their works to the Archive annually, and selected pieces will be on display at Doujin Market’s 10th anniversary five years from now.

Doujin Market 2017 is supported by Noise Singapore, an initiative that supports our youth to express, develop, and showcase their creativity. Are you an aspiring artist, fan, or just want to see some cool art? Head on down to Doujin Market 2017 this May and have a good time!
